Newark Chiropractors :: FAQ

Like other Newark chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers...

How long will this take?
Newark Chiropractors FAQ

Everyone is different so that is hard to say; however, based on the doctor’s recommendations, we believe the more aggressive and frequent you are in the beginning with your chiropractic care, the better and faster your results will be.

What will this cost me?

At Advanced Back & Neck Pain Centers we will verify your health insurance and go over your coverage on your second visit. If you do not have health insurance we will sit down and work out a financial plan for you and your family.

Why do I need to do exercises?

After your first phase of treatment with your Newark DE chiropractor, we introduce therapeutic exercises to strengthen the muscles around the correct spinal alignment so that your body can hold the chiropractic adjustments longer.

How young or old does a patient have to be to benefit from chiropractic adjustments?

The only requirement is birth … One of the most traumatic experiences in our lives is being born. chiropractic adjustments are very beneficial for many childhood issues and to help keep them in proper alignment to avoid scoliosis. As far as how old a patient can be, there are no restrictions, with our younger and elderly patients we use more gentle techniques when needed.

Can pregnant women be adjusted?

Absolutely! Actually chiropractic adjustments for pregnant women are quite beneficial. Pregnant women can suffer from a number of aliments that are easily corrected with chiropractic adjustments, such as heartburn, sciatic, pain in extremities, etc. … then there’s the shift of their spinal alignment due to weight distribution and changes in their pelvic region. In fact, studies have shown women who regularly get adjusted throughout their pregnancy have easier labors and quicker recovery time.
